Mission

The Mission of the Common Thread Circle is to provide handmade items that will provide comfort to the patients in Houston area hospitals. We meet at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Room D100 on Monday afternoons from 2 – 4 p.m.

Our members enjoy fellowship together as we make our heart-shaped comfort pillows, as well as our stuffed animals we call “critters” for the children. Those who knit or crochet make scarves and hats for cancer patients or for newborn babies, teddy bears for toddlers, as well as small afghans or blankets. Others make the various carry-all items for hospital patients who need to carry their records.
