On Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the Happy Hands gathering, we celebrated the retirement of Thelma from her loyal service of sewing the heart shaped pillow cases used to make pillows for area hospital patients. We have records going back to 2011, and in that period, she sewed 10,868 pillow cases. These cases were then stuffed and closed and distributed to patients in over ten hospitals in the Texas Medical Center and hospitals in the west Houston area by the Common Thread Circle with which Happy Hands of the Spring Branch Presbyterian Church is affiliated.
Just think about her service, 10,868 pillows touching the lives of 10,868 people in a time of need. WOW!!! THAT IS SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE!
The Common Thread Circle is grateful and appreciative of the contribution Thelma has made over the past years.
