October 2012 Meeting Dates

***October 1, 8, 15, and 22 – Town & Country Starbucks – 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Please note we are not meeting there on the 29th.)
***October 10 – Knitters and Crocheters will meet at Leora’s home from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
***October 16 – Common Thread Circle will meet at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, Room D126, from 9:30 a.m. – noon.
***October 24 – Happy Hands will meet at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church from 9:30 – noon.
***October 29 – Halloween Party at the home of Peggy Stuart. Wear your favorite Halloween costume! (Bring needle and thread if you plan to stitch pillows or critters.) Contact Lenore Alfredson if you need more information.
***During the month of August, Common Thread Circle delivered 722 items to Houston area hospitals. Our year to date total is 6,432, and since May of 2008, we have provided over 41,600 handcrafted items to hospital patients!

***And last but not least…Everyone be sure to attend the annual Hearts & Hands Holiday Market at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church! The Preview Party is Oct. 22, 6:30-9:00 p.m. – tickets $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Free admission on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 9 am – 7 pm and on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 9 am – 4 pm. Hearts & Hands is given by the United Methodist Women. We owe our thanks to UMW for supporting Common Thread Circle this year!
